Biogents AG is an innovative and internationally recognized company in the field of mosquito control with headquarters in Regensburg. Here, 38 employees are currently working in two business areas: the development, production and sales of highly efficient mosquito traps as well as in contract services for external parties, e.g. efficacy evaluation of mosquito repellents and related products. Job Description:

• Financial Management: oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Manage accounting operations such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.
• Financial reporting: prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements for our company and our subsidiary in the US.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: coordinate and lead the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts and report variances.
• Regulatory Reporting: coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting for each country in which the subsidiaries are located.
• Regulatory Compliance: research and ensure compliance with technical accounting issues and applicable financial regulations in each country.
• Internal Controls: Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Manage financial risks by implementing appropriate risk management strategies and monitoring financial performance indicators.
• Tax Filings: Manage and comply with local, state and federal reporting requirements and tax returns in each jurisdiction.
• Lead and develop the finance team, providing guidance, coaching and support to ensure team effectiveness and professional growth.
• Assist management in achieving business development goals.

Your profile:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. Advanced degrees such as an MBA in Accounting may be an advantage.
• Professional certifications: relevant professional certifications in accounting or finance.
• Approximately 10 years of professional experience in finance (accounting and management accounting), demonstrating a solid background in financial management and reporting.
• Technical Skills: Very good command of financial software and tools, including Microsoft Office, DATEV and other accounting software.
• Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to effectively lead and develop a finance team.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and produce meaningful reports and insights.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and present financial information to stakeholders.
• Adaptability: ability to work in a dynamic and multinational environment, adapt to cultural differences and work effectively with teams in different countries.
• Excellent German and English skills, ideally you also speak French.
